FOR YOU WERE ONCE DARKNESS, BUT NOW YOU
ARE LIGHT IN THE LORD. LIVE AS CHILDREN OF
LIGHT FOR THE FRUIT OF THE LIGHT CONSISTS IN
ALL GOODNESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS AND TRUTH.
( Ephesians 5:8-9 *NIV )
As Children of Light our actions should reflect our faith, and shine
brightly to others. We should never be afraid to show our faith no
matter where we are, or who we are with. After all we are beacons
of God's Love shining out into dark World that is searching for love
in all the wrong places. A World that is full of people without love,
hope and faith.
Therefore our Savior Jesus Christ stressed this truth in the
Sermon on the Mount, for He said; "YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE
WORLD. A CITY ON A HILL CANNOT BE HIDDEN. NEITHER
DO PEOPLE LIGHT A LAMP AND PUT IT UNDER A BOWL.
INSTEAD THEY PUT IT ON ITS STAND, AND IT GIVES LIGHT
TO EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE.
( Matthew 5:14-15 )
Further, you probably have known people that
seem to light up a room when they enter, well, In the same way,
LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE BEFORE MEN, THAT THEY MAY SEE
YOUR GOOD DEEDS AND PRAISE YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.
( Matthew 5:16 )
Now you may be thinking "my light is a dim one." Well, I believe
that our dim light is magnified by the immense mirror of God's Love.
Thus it truly shines brightly when we tell others about our Heavenly
Father, and show goodness toward the people in our lives! So try
it today and see for yourself, for if everyone would light just one
little candle what a bright World this would be! Amen
